Monday the packers came and packed- that is what they do! They finished quickly and only left one thing out, and I forgot to take one picture down, so these are in our suitcase. We will arrive at the airport with 6 large suitcases- I think we will need a cart or two!
Both cars and keys go back to Billy’s office in the morning- and a guy will take us to the airport we hope he brings a van. Our permesso’s will be left at passport control.
This has been an emotional and tiring week- many parties, dinners, saying goodbye to various groups of people and trying to keep this all in perspective. We will miss our friends. We will be happy to see our family. Our hearts are happy and sad at the same time! But God is good, He is faithful, He comforts, He guides and directs our path, He is our Rock! I am thankful for my loving and patient husband, and for how he has helped with all the packing, cleaning and laundry! Praying for safe travels home tomorrow morning- and patience with the impending jet lag. More to come when we arrive home! Arrivederci ! Ciao Italia! Ci vediamo!
As I write you are most likely traveling back. I forgot to ask for some of those cool wax matches that are only found in Italy. Then I thought with todays security that is probably something inappropriate to have you smuggle back.
What an adventure you guys have had. I know cutting something by a third is hard when gifted a stay in a foreign land. Especially when the timeline was three years or more. Most people are in awe when I tell them both of my sisters are living in Europe. Sounds co chic and with it.
My guess is that this blog may be over, which is kind of sad for me. I found solace in looking up the url and seeing if there is a new entry. I dreamed of maybe visiting Milan with my wife and daughter and that too has to be rethought.
It has been fun watching you two discover both yourselves and northern Italy and the countries to the North. I reminisce of my own travels to that part of the world and you helped me remember those times even though it was 30 years ago.
I suggest those that read this blog that have never commented now express how reading this has effected you. Let’s tell Jennifer that it should continue, regardless of wether it comes from Italy or Ballwin. Godspeed on your travels to the states.
My vote is to have this continue at least until Billy is a grandpa. Then you can rename the Blog to Bill and Jen’s Grandbaby adventure.
Thank you all this time for sharing your heart & God adventures. You have been a blessing as always to MY HEART. See you soon in the neighborhood.
love

I totally agree with previous comments. Your blog has taken us to places we could only dream of and even that is a stretch. Thank you for sharing your joys, struggles and travels to a foreign land. It has been amazing for me to sit in your front pocket for the ride; for your entries have made me feel apart of your journey.
I am thankful too that I got to come be with you and to share in meeting your friends, church and lives in Italia. You have both spurred me on to reach higher and further in this life with Christ as you have been used in the lives of all you touched in Italia.
I love you both. I am excited you’re home. I am sad for your friends in Milano. Talk to you soon. love you, L
